Kazakhstan develops new dietary potato
The potato was cross bred with wild, South American potatoes and has been specially adapted for the Northern climate.
In the near future the new variety will be sold throughout the markets of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
There are hopes that the potato will eventually be exported more widely.
