Italy: Satisfactory kiwi market in terms of demand and results

On volumes traded so far, Gullino reports: "So far we have moved about one-third of the product (for a total of approximately 15,000 tons). We are pleased with requests and the result. Europe is moving and the overseas market is more active than last year."

The trend in prices, according to the director, is stable with a tendency to increase, "quotes are adapting to the lack of production that has occurred in the last agricultural season."
The Gullino company produces and ships kiwi for different markets. The main ones are: Europe, North America and South America. "The Middle East shows interest in Italian kiwi, but the prices are struggling to adapt to the actual product offering," says Gullino.
