Argentina: Vista Alegre S.R.L to improve fruit sector

Vista Alegre S.R.L is a new integrated project that involves the production, the handling and the marketing of fruit from the Valle de Río Negro, Neuquén and Norpatagonia region. Responsible for the 14-million-dollar project is Ingenieur Argentino Carlos Enriquez, former CEO of Salentein Fruit. According to Enriquez, the venture will focus on the cherry trade and the formation of clusters of producers. The main target is to prepare the sector for the international market.

Enriquez means to tighten up collaboration with local Neuquén officials in setting up and expanding logistical possibilities. Some progress has been made concerning airfreight. Now, the nearby airport Aeropuerto Internacional will be made more accessible, making it possible to ship crop to far-away destinations within 36 hours.

Apart from improving the cherry trade, Vista Alegre S.R.L. will focus on marketing the top fruit from Valle de Neuquén and Rio Negro.
