Hungary: Delhaize completes partial sale of assets

Delhaize has completed the sale of 110 of its 200 local outlets to rivals CBA and Coop. The deal sees CBA pick up 48 Match outlets while Coop gets 62 Profi and Match stores.

CBA said it will convert the outlets to its premium ‘CBA Príma’ banner, while Coop has not yet detailed what it plans to do with the stores it has bought.

The deal was speculated upon earlier this year, and follows the sale of Louis Delhaize’s Cora hypermarket in the country to Auchan.
