Germany: Difficult to compete with foreign cherries

At the German wholesale markets the Turkish Napoleon dominated the cherry market in week 25. They were of good calibre and good quality. There were also various varieties from Italy and Spain. The local harvest was stopped by the bad weather. There were also large losses due to the rain that caused splitting. This made it hard for the German cherry to compete with those from abroad.
