Vegetable import increased by 18.6%

Chinese fruit import in the first 7 months of 2021 increased by 28.4%

Chinese agricultural imports and exports, in the first 7 months of 2021 were worth 172.45 billion USD. That is an increase of 25.7% compared to the same period last year. Export was worth 45.07 billion USD, which was an increase of 8.4%, while import grew by 33.3% to a value of 127.38 billion USD. The trade difference increased by 52.5% to 82.31 billion USD.

Vegetables
Chinese vegetable export in the first 7 months of 2021 was worth 8.27 billion USD, which was a slight decline of 0.5% compared to the same period last year. Meanwhile, the value of vegetable import rose by 18.6% to 710 million USD. The trade difference was reduced by 2% to 7.56 billion USD.

Fruit
Chinese fruit export in the first 7 months of 2021 was worth 3.8 billion USD, which was 4.6% more than in the same period last year. The import value increased by 28.4% to 9.55 billion USD. The trade difference grew by 51.2% to 5.75 billion USD.

Grains
China imported 39.84 million tons of grain in the first 7 months of 2021. That is 1.6 times more than in the same period last year. The value increased 1.8 times to a value of 11.85 billion USD. In the same period China exported 1.62 million tons of grains, which is 9.8% less than last year. The export value dropped by 2.4% to 710 million USD. The difference between import volume and export volume increased 1.8 times to 38.22 million tons.
