Natural Tropic is an avocado producer that controls the whole chain. This grower from Malaga, Spain, uses its own organic and conventional avocados to make guacamole. They've been doing so for four years now. This has had admirable results. Last week, the Spanish consumer association gave its organic guacamole top honors.
"We make various varieties and brands of guacamole. Aldi in Spain sells this award-winning guacamole under the 'GUTBIO' label. There's already a considerable increase in sales of these products. It's great that an institute like the Consumers' Association now also appreciates this product. In the past year, sales in Spain have risen by eight percent. We hope to roll out the sales further internationally too," says sales manager Kenneth Meyer.
"Developments haven't stopped either. Last year we added avocado spread to the processed range. This is a spreadable avocado product. It's great for spreading on toast or adding to a healthy breakfast or snack," Kenneth concludes.
