Season’s first special mango train leaves from Vizianagaram

In its efforts to ensure an uninterrupted supply of essential commodities, the Waltair Division of the East Coast Railway is running special express trains from Vizianagaram, the hub for mangoes from north Andhra Pradesh to Adarsh Nagar, New Delhi.

The First Mango special train of this season left on Wednesday, carrying 200 tons of mangoes in 11,600 boxes to New Adarshnagar railway station at New Delhi, according to Senior Divisional Commercial Manager A.K.Tripathi. During the last financial year, Waltair Division transported 4,350 tons of mangoes in 20 Mango parcel special trains, he told telanganatoday.com.
