Vacuum cooling is one of the most effective ways to pre-cool fresh produce. As Arvin Lau from Vegfor explains: "Vacuum cooling systems are fast and very effective in reducing product spoilage, because the fastest deterioration of fresh products takes place right after it has been harvested. With a vacuum cooler, you can rapidly reduce the internal temperature of the product from the field temperature to the ideal storage temperature after the product has been harvested and packaged."
Arvin further mentions: "Vegfor is always working to find the best vacuum pre-cooling solution for growers. Before our customers purchase our machines, we will evaluate the type of vegetable and whether it’s suitable for vacuum cooling. Furthermore we will look at a growers’ daily production output and, based on this, we will customize a model for the appropriate size to ensure that customers maximize the efficiency of their equipment. Of course, we will also consider their local climate. It is very important to decide which type of condenser to use, because it will affect the cooling effect when you live in a different kind of climate. For example, if the temperature is high in the tropics, we will adopt the type of evaporative cooling. For some customers who have special requirements for the installation site, we will also make some adjustments to our equipment structure. Therefore, our equipment is built to the actual needs of our customers."
"We are proud that our customized mobile vehicle vacuum coolers are widely welcomed by customers. It helps growers to solve the problem of farmland dispersion, which is in urgent need of vacuum cooling."
"Now our vacuum pre-cooling in China has about 15% of the market, which we expect to increase. Thanks to our stable quality and domestic after-sales service system, we are growing fast in China, though for foreign markets, we still face considerable challenges. This is mainly reflected in our overseas after-sales service system, which is not established perfectly yet. Now we only have representatives in the North American market. We hope that more overseas vegetable and fruit cooling companies will join us and together we can provide growers with safe and reliable vacuum cooling equipment."
