Spot container rates increased 6% in last two weeks of November

Drewry's Intra-Asia Container Index (IACI), a weighted average of regional spot container freight rates, increased 6% in the fortnight to 30 Nov 2025 to $667 per 40ft container.

Drewry's Intra-Asia Container Index (IACI) increased 6% in the second half of November, reaching $667 per 40ft container. The IACI is a weighted average of spot rates across 18 major trade routes within Asia and is currently 23% lower YoY. We expect Intra-Asia rates to remain on an uptrend until January 2026, due to tight capacity caused by an extended peak season leading up to the Lunar New Year in mid-February.
