New packaging plant in Morocco

The Alcoaxarquia Group has just acquired a new processing plant in Morocco through the subsidiary Alcoaxarquía Maroc. With this operation the company reinforces its presence in North Africa and in avocado production.

The warehouse is located in Tangier, near Tanger Med, a deep-draft commercial port, located in a strategic position, at the point on the Moroccan coast closest to the Iberian Peninsula and a crossing point for the maritime routes that link Europe. Africa and America.

This important milestone within the company has been possible thanks to the agreement between Alcoaxarquía and the owner of the property, Hasnaoui Aziz Choukri, who thus becomes a collaborating partner of the group in this region of the African continent. The processing center has a production capacity of 80 tons per day.

Mr. Hasnaoui Aziz Choukri with group CEO José Antonio Alconchel.

In the current organization, on three different continents, 2,500 hectares of crops and 7 processing plants, with a total area of 18,500 m2 equipped with the most modern technology for storage, ripening and packaging of avocado and mango.

In Morocco and the Tangier plant, as in the rest of the production areas, we will apply our processes efficiently, with the aim of reducing the carbon footprint and making local, sustainable, tasty and healthy products with guaranteed availability in the markets.
