The value of Peruvian avocado exports will reach US$ 1,129.1 million by the end of 2023, which will reach a new record, surpassing the level registered in 2021 (US$ 1,127.1 million). In addition, it will represent an increase of 14.6% compared to 2022. Between January and July 2023, fresh avocado exports reached US$824.5 million, with a growth of 22.9%, compared to the same period last year.
The main destination countries are the Netherlands with US $ 266.8 million (32.4% share), Spain with US $ 148.6 million (18% share), the United States with US $ 104.8 million (12.7% of participation), Chile (9.9% of the total), China (7.5%), United Kingdom (7.3%), rest (12.2%).
In the first half of 2023, national production reached 696,668 tons and grew + 10.3%, compared to the same period last year (US$ 630,763 tons); where the regions of La Libertad, Lima and Lambayeque concentrate 64% of national production.
