Showing the exciting side of potatoes

EarthFresh is thrilled to be back in person at the IFPA in Orlando this week. “We are excited to show our customers, suppliers and industry friends our full line of conventional and organic potato offerings, sweet potatoes and our new innovative value-added product line, 'Fast. Fresh. Gourmet',” says Jessica Hughes, director of innovation.

The product line has three flavors of fresh potatoes with a gourmet, healthy and ready-to-serve sauce.

The product line has three flavors of fresh potatoes with a gourmet, healthy and ready-to-serve sauce, all packed in an oven/grill-ready tray. This allows customers to cook a tasty dish without adding additional ingredients and all of the sauces are made with clean ingredients, are gluten- and dairy-free and contain no artificial preservatives or refined sugar. Each flavor is also high in fiber and potassium, cholesterol-free and low in fat and calories.

“Consumers are searching for products that are high quality, healthy, sustainable and fresh. In addition to our new healthy convenience products, we will remind our customers about our dedication to sustainability in all areas of our business,” says Hughes. “Our packaging is designed to help with the reduction of food waste--the light blocking technology we use protects potatoes from greening, extending shelf life and enhancing taste. We also are focused on ensuring our packaging is either compostable, recyclable or reusable.”

“The IFPA is an excellent opportunity for us to showcase our innovations in the potato category. This year is an exceptional year as we are featuring these light-blocking poly bags, compostable paper bags, stand-up fingerling bags, organic baby potatoes, several new exclusive varieties and our new grill-ready, sauce-coated, roasted potatoes,” says Tom Hughes, CEO. “Who would have guessed that potatoes could be so exciting!”
