Much work has been done in recent weeks at Valstar. This Dutch greenhouse vegetable specialist has put together a video series. It's about the much-discussed topic of sustainability. Monthly videos will be released soon. In these, co-workers meet specialists. These videos will cover topics like food wastage and sustainable packaging.
"For Valstar, sustainability has been a tremendously important theme for years now. It will only become more important. We're proud that we can inspire consumers every day. They can make healthy choices, thanks to our wide range of fruit and vegetables. But we're also working hard at improving not only these products. We want to improve packaging, our emission rates, and our food waste as well. We want to do our bit for a better environment and a healthier quality of life for people," says Marketing Manager Henny van de Wetering.
"What are the specialists' opinions on these issues? And what can we all learn from them? With these videos, we hope to give everyone a better picture of sustainability in the fruit and vegetable sector. We must come up with ideas for more sustainable solutions together."
Valstar will kick the series off with their Managing Director and the CEO of Best Fresh. "They discuss not only Valstar's sustainability but also feeding the growing world population in the future, and being a good employer.
