Fellini Patrizio's Azienda Agricola "67#" has acquired new land. "This way, we will manage to supply our clients with an even greater range of products, grown just a stone's throw from the processing facility. And we all know how much maintaining freshness and the cold chain is essential to obtain high organoleptic qualities and a prolonged shelf-life," explains Emile Fellini.
The company is currently focusing on lettuce. "We planted 3 million plants and will exceed 6 million if we also consider fennel and celery. We can meet the expectations of the retail chain not only when it comes to quality, but also supply continuity."
The quality of lettuce has been very high lately, also thanks to the weather. However, a lot of volumes are available so prices are not very high. "We have started harvesting fennel a few days ago and prices are good."
We are also harvesting celery. The market tends to be stable throughout the year without big fluctuations.
"We are focusing a lot on local productions. We recently acquired another 10 hectares precisely to rotate more and obtain a higher quality by reducing chemical inputs and treatments. Harvesting and packaging in just a few minutes is our strength."
