Miele offers solution for domestic vertical agriculture

The German company Miele is offering vertical agriculture solutions for the home with the marketing of domestic greenhouses, which offer the perfect growing conditions with minimal care and can be placed both in the kitchen and in the lounge.

Domestic greenhouses allow fresh, aromatic and nutrient-rich sprouts, herbs and microgreens to be enjoyed at home all year round thanks to a self-contained ecosystem with a simple seedbed covering, regulated lighting and a controlled microclimate, as well as automatic irrigation.

The first crop can be harvested one to three weeks after being put into operation.

To clearly illustrate its effectiveness, a lettuce grown in the field requires up to 120 liters of water to grow; the same amount with which it is possible to supply a domestic greenhouse for a whole year.
