Chile's Cherry Committee promotes creative development among Chinese university students

The 28th version of the University Awards was officially inaugurated on March 16 in Beijing. The launch event was attended by more than 500 university professors and students from more than 20 universities in the provinces of Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei as well as by guests from various business brands. Li Xisha, the President of the Orientation Unit; Chen Gang and Ding Junjie, the Presidents of the University Awards, and Lin Shudai, the Director General of the University Awards, expressed their gratitude to all the sponsoring companies that encourage students to generate creative ideas.

In this context, the Cherry Committee of ASOEX decided to sponsor the initiative this year and to promote among the students creative developments within the framework of the campaign to promote Chilean cherries and their slogan: "Enjoy your Red moment."

"We decided to join this activity because we believe that young people can develop ideas that can make an important contribution to the promotion campaign of our cherries in the Chinese market. In addition, it allows us to be part of an educational initiative that has a great recognition in China and other Asian countries, and that encourages the youth to be creative. We also believe that our participation will also enhance the knowledge of Chile and its culture," said Charif Christian Carvajal, the Marketing Director of ASOEX.

During the meeting, all the brands, companies, and sponsoring entities explained the objectives of the project that they hope students will develop, giving them a set of information that will allow the university students to learn more about the challenge. In addition, each representative encouraged the students to meet the challenge enthusiastically. "Happiness has no limits, and we hope that those who join our challenge can express and deliver happiness through their work. We also hope your work can help more consumers in China know the Chilean cherries and enjoy their red moment 'with Chilean cherries," Carvajal added.

The event is being sponsored by diverse companies, entities, and brands (more than 50). The sponsors include the city government of Chengdu, Ping Tan Test Zone, Tongshuai Electroincs, the Chilean Cherry Committee, Wang Wang Group, Wang Zai Wang Pu, iReader, Xingwu Technology University, Wang Tai Charity Foundation, Putian Meizhou Island Management Committee, Yog Hou Soybean Milk, Tai Nan Xuejia Ciji Plaza, Nanning Kunlun Guan, and My Fei Duo Media, among others.

Lin Shudai, the CEO of the University Awards and media manager of the Wangwang Times media group, said that these Awards have become a big family and also a creative platform for young people. This year's theme is "Time Maker", which means that the youth of today will create the future. The winning initiatives of this award will be announced in June in Chengdu, Shudai added.

More than 20 universities in mainland China, 39 universities in the region of Taiwan and overseas countries, such as Singapore and Malaysia, are participating in the 2019 University Awards. They got together in the launching activity to share and personally meet other university students, representatives of the sponsoring brands, and world-class creative leaders.

The Awards are organized by the Wang Wang Times Media Group, guided by the Business Advertising Committee of China, the Internet Communication Committee of China and Taiwan, Xinhua Net and the MCP Department of the University of Beijing.
