Spanish ports were present at the Fruit Logistica Fair with a powerful offer of products and services for the fresh fruit and vegetable market.
At the “Ports of Spain” stand, and under the motto “Connecting the world to Fresh Fruit”, eight Port Authorities (Bahía de Algeciras, Bahía de Cádiz, Bilbao, Castellón, Huelva, Motril, SC Tenerife, and Valencia) offer 85 million m² of land area and storage areas, cold stores with about 2 million m³ capacity, more than 300,000 linear metres of berthing space, connections to any port in the world, border inspection points (PIF), phytosanitary services and all types of logistics solutions.
46 Spanish ports of general interest moved 560 million tons in 2018 , of which more than 11 million were fruits, vegetables and legumes.
Spanish ports are the perfect place for the import and export of horticultural products, because about 85% of imports and 60% of Spanish exports are made through the ports.
