Kompetenzzentrum Ökolandbau Niedersachsen (KÖN) invites one and all

Future of the organic industry in the foreground at this year's BioFach

"Biofach", the leading trade fair for the global organic sector, will take place from 13 to 16 February in Nuremberg. Competence Center Ökolandbau Niedersachsen (KÖN) is represented there with a booth in hall 6, booth number H6-151. At the booth, experts, guests and trade fair visitors will discuss current topics in organic farming.

Broad range of programs
On Wednesday, February 13, the KÖN invites you to the podium discussion at 4 pm in the Riga area of ​​the "Biofach" congress center. The focus is on solutions that can counteract the alienation between farmers and consumers. Panel members will be nutritionist Prof. Dr. Carola Strassner from the University of Applied Sciences Münster, Dr. Sven Werchan, Olaf Keser-Wagner from the "Field of Experience Farm" and Claudia Dollinger, Member of the Council of the Solidarity Agriculture Network. The discussion will be moderated by Henning Niemann.

On Thursday, the 14th of February, a round of talks will take place at 12.00. In the foreground are some important questions of today's organic sector, like how producer prices can be kept stable within vegetable cultivation when market pressure is growing due to increasing supply. In the afternoon, at 16.00 o'clock, the theme will be how to integrate organic farming into vocational training.

On Friday,  the last day of BioFach, two more events are planned at the KÖN booth. At 11.00 o'clock, the topic of Websites for the organic sector will be discussed up and at 2 o'clock the supporting program will be concluded with the discussion 'Bio in the EU-School Program'.
