"Prices are lower than in previous years due to higher production levels"

"China: "Garlic is currently in the final stage of storage"

"The garlic season in Jinxiang, Shandong Province begins around June of each year and is completed in early September. It is currently at the end of the season storage process. This year, Jinxiang's garlic production increased about 20% compared with last year. "This is mainly due to the expansion of the total planting area, and the increase in the yield per mu," Mr. Kevin Li of Qingdao Sinonut International Ltd. said in an interview with FreshPlaza.

"Increased production has directly led to a decline in the price of garlic in this season. In fact, not only in China, but also in the world, the garlic planting areas in Spain, Brazil and other countries also have increased this year driven by high sales profits a few years ago. But considering the proportion of total garlic planting area and export volume in the world, China's production changes have a significant impact."

"Our garlic planting base is located in Jinxiang, Shandong Province and some bases already have GAP certification. The garlic produced is exported to Europe, the Middle East, Africa and South America. In an increasingly competitive world, I am still confident of our strength. First of all, we internally oversee everything from the source of cultivation to all aspects of the production, which effectively guarantees the quality of garlic. Secondly, we have established a stable, long-term cooperative relationship with large supermarkets such as Carrefour and stability is guaranteed in this sales channel."

"In addition to garlic products, we also export ginger, frozen carrots, frozen spinach balls, frozen strawberries, frozen yellow peaches and other frozen fruits and vegetables to overseas markets. The market price of frozen products is less volatile, and the demand is more stable."

Qingdao Sinonut International Ltd. will participate in the Asian Fruit and Vegetable Exhibition in Hong Kong this year. Their booth is located in Hall 3c/M18E.
