China: Delicious Sichuan Liangshan grape on the market
"The grape season in the Liangshan area of Sichuan kicked off in early August and is expected to end in December. There are many varieties on the market, including sunshine roses grapes, red grapes, etc. For me, the Crimson grape is the best. From the perspective of production, due to the expansion of the base and the big yield year, the production in this season is significantly higher than in previous years," said Ying Guowen of the Junhong Fruit and Vegetable Trade Agency Cooperative.
"But our sales are still satisfactory. This is mainly due to the natural geographical advantage, our grapes have a higher glucose content and a better taste. Secondly, our production season ended later than other production areas. The grape season ends early for them. After which the grapes are put into storage and sold during the Spring Festival. Our grapes are naturally matured until December. Once again, the expansion of sales channels has made our market continue to expand in recent years. "
"We sell grapes through traditional sales models and e-commerce platforms. Our grapes are mainly sold to wholesale markets and supermarkets in domestic first- and second-tier cities. In the future, while steadily developing existing markets, we hope to find suitable exports opportunities. It will allow overseas consumers to taste the grapes from Da Liangshan."
