Kolkata: Vegetable prices on the rise

Kolkatans are currently spending more on vegetables thanks to a slump in production in neighbouring states like Jharkhand, Bihar and Odisha. Every day, truckloads of vegetables are leaving for these states from rural Bengal, leaving vegetables quite pricey in the city markets.
