Jordan: Government studying introduction of price ceiling for potatoes

Jordan's Minister of Agriculture Khalid Al-Hanifat has announced that the government is currently considering the introduction of price ceilings for potato material if the prices of potato products do not fall in the coming days.

He said in a press statement on Sunday that the Ministry is monitoring the prices and potato volumes received at the central markets and that the quantities received should meet the needs of the market, which amount to 400 tonnes per day.
