Vietnam works towards increasing fruit and veg quality & security with foreign investment

Vietnam has been working to increase food security across the country and their efforts are starting to show results, Vietnam+ reports. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) in the country said that export earning estimates for agricultural products were up 15.2% reaching $15.62 billion US. Vietnam also sees foreign investment as playing a key part in boosting the agriculture sector and hence the economy. One example of this is nearly $13 million USD in funding from Canada for a project to help increase food quality, especially in fruit and vegetables.
