"Our country will try to promote the cultivation of organic vegetables and the use of organic fertilizers instead of chemical ones. We hope to increase the supply of organic vegetables by growing quality vegetables with healthy soil and technology," said Mr. Zhonghua Sun at the 2017 China Vegetable Industry Conference held in Yuxi, Yunnan.
"We will promote less use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides and increase the supply of organic vegetables. The key idea is to help growers reduce the amount of chemical fertilizers and pesticides and adopt more environmentally friendly ways to fight against pests and help vegetables to grow better. We need to promote efforts to utilize organic fertilizers and improve soil quality, especially in major cultivation regions of vegetables and well-known plantations and thus produce vegetables with the best quality in healthy and natural soil," said Mr. Sun.
