Indian mangoes travel to South Korea

Indian mangoes are on a global trip having reached South Korean shores last week, and Australia a fortnight ago.

The star fruit in India’s fruit export basket, mangoes from here are highly sought after by many foreign countries.

Kaushal Khakhar, CEO, Kay Bee Exports, whose company dispatched the mangoes to Australia and to South Korea said, “Our first consignment to South Korea was cleared last week after a rigorous quality check by the authorities there. There was lot of enthusiasm in Australia to receive Indian mangoes.”

Mauritius allowed Indian mangoes to be imported into that country last year and Indian exports to Iran are expected to begin next year.
