The 0.1c levy was introduced on April 1 and goes toward plant health and was proposed by Avocados Australia to support biosecurity management for the industry.
The levy shouldn't make too much of a change — it's intended to replace a previous one, which went towards research and the development of the agricultural sector, and caused prices to rise.
