Heavy snowfall hits Turkish strawberry greenhouses

As a result of heavy snowfall, a large number of strawberry greenhouses have collapsed in Turkey. Growers near İnegöl, a city in the Bursa Province, have been especially affected by the snowfall of April 23.

Strawberry crops are an important part of the economy in and around İnegöl. The heavy snowfall was not expected. Other parts of Europe are also currently affected by extreme cold and snow, which is unusual for the time of the year.
