New Zealand family find kiwi shaped feijoa

A family in Auckland found an oddly shaped feijoa hanging in the tree in their backyard which strangely resembles the Kiwi, a native bird which is endangered in New Zealand.

North Shore resident Evelyn Lukis, 33, was collecting fruit from her tree on Thursday when she spotted the small fruit, about the size of a grape.

Ms Lukis is now considering freezing and selling the special find and donating the money to charity, and could make a pretty penny. Back in 2009 a similar shaped feijoa sold for $1000.
