Fresh herbal tea remains hip

Fresh mint tea has taken the world of catering by storm in recent years, and is now a permanent part of most menus. Fresh herbal tea does not just taste good, it is also good for your health.



In addition to fresh mint, lemon balm and lavender are also suitable for making tea. The lemon balm leaves taste refreshing and smell strongly of lemon. Lavender tea is known for its calming qualities. But there are more variants of herbal tea that have therapeutic effects. Laurel leaf tea is rumoured to help quit smoking, and it is good for your digestion. Ginger also brews a good cup of tea, and should be good for throat aches. Sage tea should combat excessive sweating and internal infections, and it should help prevent flu. Camomile is good for the mucus membrane and opens up the airways.

Plukkruidje offers various fresh herbal blends and loose green mint for making herbal tea. The herbs are locally cultivated by a family nursery in the Netherlands. Plukkruidje is available in various catering establishments, supermarkets, and through the web shop. A box of ten bags costs 11.50 euro. Consumers can also take out a subscription in order to receive fresh herbal tea at home every two weeks.



Koppert Cress Infusions can also be bought in various flavours. The herbs are part of a special project in Kenya, that was set up to support the local population in their upkeep, and in the reorganisation of the living environment. Local employees take care of the plants and pick the sprigs, which are then bundled together into a compact herb bundle. Each bundle is manually packed into individual bags. The fresh herbs grow at a special nursery at the foot of Mount Kenya. The herbal blends are available in catering establishments, among other places.

The fresh herbal tea line Puro Aroma from Roveg Fruit consists of a wide range of fresh herbal and exotic spice teas. The herbs have been packaged in resealable packaging provided with inspiring application possibilities. One package is good for about 20 cups of fresh tea. A box of 70 grammes costs 1.99 euro in supermarkets.



The Kaldi cultivation kits allow consumers to cultivate their own organic herbs for fresh tea. BAZA Seeds & Tea Garden is available in various flavours. The recycled cultivation bags come from India, where they are made, Fair trade, from used teabags. The package contains 2.5 litres of organic cultivation soil, a bag of organic seeds, and a planting label with instructions. The herbal tea can be cultivated throughout the year.
