New storage bins offer food safe storage & real time monitoring

Evenflow Storage Bins from Jantz Canada are an expandable solution for the growing needs of today’s packhouses. Developed and perfected over a period of 10 years, working with Packhouses across North America; the Evenflow Bins provide Food Safe Storage for straight from the field or pre-washed potatoes, beets, onions and other root vegetables. Ranging in capacity from 5 to 100 tons; storage and processing can be supported with a single design.

The construction of the bins, built from pre-formed side panels, support legs and conveying components means installation is quick and easy, and future expansion to increase capacity when needed is easy. Bins can be sloped for ease of infeed, and the stair stepping feed ladder and straight sides can be utilized to maximize storage space in a given footprint. All contact surfaces on the bins are either stainless steel or food grade plastic. The balance of the structure is durable powder coat finish, which resists scratches and chipping.

Featuring the only adjustable-slope turkey roost in the industry, discharge rates and locations (one end or the other or both) can be finely controlled. The design of the tilt conveyor means tracking issues are virtually eliminated. The list of options include:

• 100% stainless steel construction for washdown applications
• UHMW lining for easy discharge of unwashed product
• Load cells for precise weighing
• Telescoping discharge conveyor
• Bi-directional discharge
• Clean-in-place (CIP) for quick changeover in facilities running organics
• Ventilating fan under the turkey roost
• Centre drive to minimize product drop heights

Little Potato Company, Peak-of-the-Market, Alsum Farms, Mart Produce, Malin Coop, Progressive Produce and Grimmway Farms are just a few of the satisfied customers.
