Polymer Logistics showcased new products and customers at Fresh Summit 2016

The company’s most recent developments focus on enhancing shopper engagement while boosting sales for growers, distributors and retailers

Polymer Logistics highlighted its latest product and service developments at the Produce Marketing Association, Fresh Summit 2016, this past weekend.

“We have seen significant growth in the use of our solutions across fresh foods and fully expect the trend to continue into 2017 and beyond. The feedback we are getting from both produce suppliers and retailers is that shoppers are responding very favorably to the increased use of our crates in their stores,” said Fred Heptinstall, CEO North America of Polymer Logistics.

To support the expansion of RPCs in North America, Polymer Logistics is opening two new service centers with state-of-the-art sanitizing machines. The facilities in Portage, IN and Dublin, GA, join two locations in California and another in Texas to provide comprehensive coverage of the United States, Canada and Mexico.

In Europe, Polymer Logistics recently launched the Wicker-Look RPC line, which has the ‘Active Lock’ system that secures the containers when erected but allows panels to fold easily and quietly when the lock is released. It is foldable and stackable to maximize truck and store space, and is lightweight for easy handling. Like all Polymer crates, these RPCs are more environmentally sustainable than traditional packaging and offer significant cost savings when compared to disposable boxes. They are compatible with the Polymer Logistics pallet and dolly line for easy maneuverability and placement on the retail floor.
