Trade distribution between China, Mongolia and Russia takes off

Yesterday, in the main base of Dalian's transportation corporation, 10 beautifully ornamented containers were slowly set in motion on the international cargo route between China, Mongolia and Russia. The test run earlier started out in Tianjin. This means that commerce and trade logistics under the banner of the new Eurasian Silk Road has officially begun in this city and the three provinces in the northeast of China. This time only three of all domestic companies participated. Dalian's transportation corporation was the only northeastern Chinese organization that took part in the test run.

The distribution track spans 3100 kilometers and crosses China (the port in Tianjin, Zhangjiakou city and the Chinese-Mongolian trading post on the border), Mongolia ( the cities Tsjojr, Ulaanbaatar, Darhan and Altanbulag) and Russia (with the cities of Kjachta and Ulan Ude as important nodes).

The launch of this new activity establishes the foundation for new trade relations and distribution networks between Europe and the northeastern Chinese provinces. The transportation corporation currently deployed 20 new train carts, of which 10 are able to carry containers and 10 are equipped to carry other bulky goods. The tonnage of even the smallest cart is higher than 40 tons, in order to facilitate the workings of the transportation and manufacturing industries in Dalian.
