Launch of US grown seedless cucumbers

Canadian based greenhouse grower Westmoreland-TopLine Farms is now offering USA grown seedless cucumbers in response to strong demand. “It is the first year we are offering USA grown cucumbers and we are very excited about the quality,” says Jimmy Coppola with Westmoreland-Topline Farms. “They complement our current cucumber production and we are looking forward to being able to offer them on a year-round basis.”

The seedless cucumbers are grown in greenhouses in Pennsylvania and will primarily be available at retail stores on the East Coast who like to take advantage of the “Grown Close to Home” message. “However, retailers in other parts of the US and Canada also have access to this high quality flavorful produce variety,” mentioned Coppola. The cucumbers will be marketed under the company’s premium TopLine Farms brand.

In addition to seedless cucumbers, Westmoreland-TopLine Farms will also launch USA grown Tomatoes on the Vine in March. They are grown in New York state and will be available from March through November.
