BioTropic goes to Sweden

BioTropic visits Nordic Organic Food Fair in Malmo

BioTropic will present itself for the first time at the Nordic Organic Food Fair on the first and second of November. The trade show is the only one of its kind in Scandinavia, with a focus on certified organic food and drinks, and takes place for the third time.

The international trade show has over 200 exhibitors from 27 different countries. Amongst those important Scandinavian players such as KRAV (the Swedish Organic certification organization), Menigo (a Swedish wholetrader), the Organic Denmark (Danish producers association) and of course many foreign organizations and companies.

The Scandinavian organic market grew steadily over the last years: 3.1 billion Euro is spent on organic products and this is still growing. According to market analyses in 2014 of the independent researcher Ekoweb the increase in growth was about 38%. Compared to that the German growth numbers are stable but quite low. In 2014 the growth was 4.8 percent compared to the previous year.

BioTropic already has some contacts in Scandinavia but wants to expand and improve those contacts. “We are happy to go to Malmo this year, and we hope for a future in the Scandinavian market and to supply that market with our tasty organic fruit and vegetables,” states the company.

The BioTropic contacts at the fair in Malmo are Michela de Leonardis (BioTropic Italy) and Julia de Raat (BioTropic the Netherlands)
