Germany: carrot and onion stores only cover part of the demand

In Germany the amount of carrots in storage at the moment is clearly below average, reports the German Agrarmarkt Informations-Gesellschaft (AMI) on its website. This means the season with German wares from storage will end sooner than most years this season and imported wares will take a more important place.

The originally high onion stores in Germany have declined at an above average rate since October. On the 15th of February there were only 5% more onions in storage than in 2014 when the season was ended early for many companies due to very small stores.
