Countdown to exhibitor deadline for Asia Fruit Logistica

Exhibitors at this year’s Asia Fruit Logistica have until 28 February to register for their stands.

Asia’s leading fresh fruit and vegetable trade show returns to AsiaWorld-Expo Center in Hong Kong on 2-4 September, together with Asiafruit Congress, which takes place on 1 September.

Asia Fruit Logistica enjoyed a landmark year in 2014. More than 8,100 trade visitors from 64 different countries poured through the doors of the show, a 24 per cent increase on the 2013 edition. They found a trade fair that had grown by almost a third, with some 478 companies from 38 countries showcasing their products and services at the event.

With an even more comprehensive show in prospect for 2015, companies are urged to sign up now to secure their stand as exhibitors and join Asia’s biggest and best gathering of the international fresh produce trade under one roof.

A host of companies from around the world and across the value chain have already registered to showcase their products at Asia Fruit Logistica 2015. New exhibitors include New Zealand based Havelock North Fruit Company, which will be promoting its proprietary Rockit apple, a small premium apple targeting the snack food category; high-tech Dutch greenhouse developer Dalsem Horticultural Projects; and major shipping line Wan Hai Lines (HK).

Galilee Export, one of Israel’s leading fruit and vegetable exporters, will also be exhibiting at Asia Fruit Logistica for the first time to develop new business in Asia for a range of products, including citrus, pomegranates, persimmons, Medjool dates, avocados and mangoes.

“Having established our position as a leading and trustworthy supplier of high-quality products in Europe, we’re now focusing on new markets, and the emerging Far East markets are one of our main targets,” explained Galilee Export’s CEO Dror Eigerman. “We see Asia Fruit Logistica as the gateway to the Asia, where we can present ourselves to new markets and clients and learn more about the possibilities and potential.”

A number of existing exhibitors are also boosting their presence at this year’s event with bigger stands, such as Valleyfresh Exports. Headquartered in Australia with offices in New Zealand, the US and Peru, the company has increased its stand space by 50% to 150m2. “This year we’re increasing our floor space to accommodate the increasing number of co-exhibitors and attendees, and to create a larger presence at the fair with our brand,” said director of Valleyfresh Ryan Smith. “The value we get from having the floor space at Asia Fruit Logistica is excellent. Most importantly, it’s a space for us to do actual business with customers and suppliers.”
