Seald Sweet: Growing forward and giving back at Fresh Summit 2014

Seald Sweet will celebrate their newly established commitment of growing forward and giving back at PMA Fresh Summit in Anaheim, CA, in booth #3038. As part of this celebration, Seald Sweet will be sponsoring a “Guess, Give, and Win” contest during the show. In support of National Breast Cancer Awareness month, from October 17-19, show attendees will be invited to the Seald Sweet booth to view the company’s display container of mandarins and to submit an entry to guess the number of mandarins in the container. Seald Sweet will be donating $1 to The National Breast Cancer Foundation for each attendee who participates in the contest. Also the attendee who estimates as close to the number without going over will be awarded their choice prizes which include a GoPro® Adventure Pack, a choice of three tablets, or an AMEX gift card (the winner does not need to be present to win).

“Our brand believes in growth, progress and supporting worthy causes. It brings us great pleasure to be able to incorporate our colleagues and customers in a well-meaning cause during Breast Cancer Awareness month and one of the biggest produce industry events of the year," says Kim Flores, director of marketing.

Over the last decade, the company has been progressively working to meet the growing demands of consumers and retailers. Recently the company announced the launch of Mandarinas™, a new brand and line of packaging for their easy-to-peel, sweet mandarins. The new packaging boasts colourful, kid-friendly graphics to promote their sweet mandarin varieties and is represented by a sweet, little girl character named “Mandarina,” the namesake for Seald Sweet’s new brand of sweet mandarin varieties. Along with the “Guess, Give and Win” contest and their ever-growing variety of products, “Mandarina” will be on display in their booth at PMA Fresh Summit.

“As part our commitment to be an innovative leader in the industry, we launched Mandarina™ this year, which features our juiciest and sweetest varieties which are packed in this brand,” says Mayda Sotomayor, Seald Sweet’s CEO. “It is with great excitement that we are able to showcase “Mandarina” at Fresh Summit in such a fun and worthwhile way. Giving back is so important to Seald Sweet and we look forward to sharing that opportunity with everyone at Fresh Summit.”
