Tropical fruits, vegetables & more from Guatemalan supply at Fresh Summit

This year 20 Guatemalan agricultural enterprises will be representing Guatemala to 21 thousand visitors in Fresh Summit Trade Show 2014, they will offer products like: papaya, mango, mini vegetables, snow peas, sugar snap peas, French beans, baby corn, among others. In this opportunity, we expect to generate business for more than $12 million with various markets in North America, Europe and Latin America.

For the last years, Guatemala has used the strategy of being in international shows with a national pavilion; this allows us to be known worldwide as an exporter country, showing quality, safety and competitiveness in each of our products in the agricultural area, as Regina EspaƱa, Commercial Promotion and Information Manager from AGEXPORT said.

Guatemala's participation this year will be with a 600 square feet pavilion where a diversity of agricultural products will be shown, there will be as well, the opportunity to promote AGRITRADE Expo & Conference 2015 by providing the invitation to all the international buyers who visit our national pavilion. Guatemala has been an important part of PMA Fresh Summit for the past 27 years.

Guatemala is implementing strategies to support the agricultural sector, and maintain its competitiveness, so exporter companies are applying for certification systems in their production, as required in the target market. In the same way, programs of phytosanitary surveillance and safety control of plant products are being strengthened, to make projects focused on social and environmental responsibility and development of rural communities, among others.

AGEXPORT will be located at booth# 1350.
