Germany: turnover of organic vegetables has remained stable

In the first six months of 2014 private households in Germany bought 2.1 kg of organic fresh vegetables per household, reports the German Agrarmarkt Informations-Gesellschaft (AMI) on its website. This is an equal amount to the same period last year. However, there were shifts in the assortment. Although carrots lost some dominance within the organic vegetable assortment, it was mainly courgettes and pumpkins that were more represented.
