Egypt aims to reduce fruit and vegetable production costs by up to 40%

Egypt's Minister of Supply and Domestic Trade, Khaled Hanafi, announced that he will aim to reduce fruit and vegetable production costs by up to 40% through a specific strategy in coordination with the wholesalers.

This would be achieved by reducing the number of intermediaries between producers, wholesalers and retailers, as well as by lowering the packaging and logistics costs.

Hanafi pointed out that in order to adjust consumer prices it is essential to find innovative solutions, which often escape from the traditional ways.
