Migros will grow it's own greenhouse vegetables

On July 14th the Swedish retailer Migros announced that the group plans to build a greenhouse, reports lematin.ch. The greenhouse must be built in the Swiss state of Wallis, which lies within the Collombey-Muraz municipality. It will be heated only using waste water from the incinerator SATOM SA in Monthey.

"Migros dares to take a step in the direction of sustainable production for vegetables. This involves vegetables that, until now, were imported: in the planned greenhouse, for example, paprika will be grown as CO2-neutral as possible," said the group. The authorization procedure for construction of the greenhouse should be underway within the next few days.
