Food product prices on the rise in Crimea

Ukrainian holidaymakers visiting Crimea have noticed food prices in the peninsula have increased substantially compared to mainland Ukraine. 

According to the survey, "a kilo of cherries here costs 35 UAH*; strawberries, 52 UAH; an ear of corn, 7 UAH; a kilo of tomatoes, around 17.5 UAH; sweet peppers, 24.5 UAH; and new potatoes, 14 UAH," said the agency. 

The report also notes that tourists had to pass twice through customs, and there are very few visitors from Russia and Ukraine.
