China: Jinghai County completes 60 million pilot cherry garden project

Longfeng Agriculture of Jinghai County, Tianjin has efficiently completed the pilot cherry garden project.

The project covering an area of 1000 acres and is located within the Longhai Modern Agricultural Industry pilot area. The project was realised with a 60 million yuan ($9.7 million USD) investment aiding the construction of 80 large sunlight greenhouses, a total of 6000 square meters of “smart” greenhouses, and 11 seedling greenhouses.

The project has an annual output of 332.64 tons of high quality cherries, and an output of 27,500 seedlings every 2 years. The project will also create 100 jobs for its member cooperatives.
