Prince de Bretagne packaging to get a new look in 2014
From April, Coeur de Pigeon and cherry tomatoes are being presented in a new trendy and modern 250g container, specially designed for Prince de Bretagne. With its separate cover, this 'cup' of cherry tomatoes can be presented directly on the table.
Saveurs d'Antan and Coeur de Pigeon
Finally, the Saveurs d'Antan assortment of colourful tomatoes, which is unique in the market, now comes in 750g flowpacked wooden punnets. The tomatoes are carefully laid on a bed of straw for a neo-traditional presentation. The packaging has been specially designed at the request of buyers.
Traditional vegetables also showcased in Berlin
Since 2009, Prince de Bretagne has been reviving the fortunes of some forgotten vegetables, such as parsnips, swede, Jerusalem artichokes, Boule d'Or turnips and various squashes. Today, the brand of Brittany's fresh vegetable producers offers a range comprising more than 18 heirloom vegetables, most of which are also available from our organic producers. New features include mixed packs of traditional vegetables. Two 1.5kg assortments are offered in attractive wooden boxes (30x20):
- 'Discovery' box: coloured carrots, black radish, swede and Jerusalem artichokes.
- 'Premium' box: Chinese artichokes (Stachys affinis), helianthi, Boule d'Or turnips and Vitelotte potatoes.
Jean Imbert: Ambassador for Prince de Bretagne vegetables
After an initial partnership based on the Saveurs d'Antan heirloom tomato range in 2013, Prince de Bretagne's producers and Jean Imbert have decided to continue working together.
Indeed, in addition to once again recommending the Saveurs d'Antan tomato assortment, the talented and high-profile chef Jean Imbert is becoming the Ambassador for the brand and its key products for the year. He will be at Fruit Logistica displaying all his creativity and good humour to make Prince de Bretagne's vegetables even more beautiful. His presence in Berlin will allow him to reaffirm his links with Brittany and his love of fresh local produce.
Consumers will also benefit from Jean Imbert's expertise as he is filming a new recipe on our farms every month, which will be available on the Prince de Bretagne website. Every month a vegetable will be highlighted and raised to new heights by the chef!
Meet Prince de Bretagne at Berlin's Fruit Logistica exhibition from February 5 to 7, 2014 – Hall 22, Stand E03.
