Guatemala: Coprisa Agroexport ready for European export

With over eighteen years experience in the export of field peas and french beans to the United States, Coprisa is now ready to start exporting to Europe.

Based in Guatemala, the company has been working hard to obtain the Global G.A.P. certification with the goal of entering the European market. Guatemala recently signed an Association agreement with the European Union which will allow it to export to some of its member states, like the UK, Germany or the Netherlands.

Coprisa has been taking part in a Dutch CBI support program, through which it receives technical assistance and training on issues such as food safety, allowing it to know more about the European market. Great results have been achieved from it.

"We have found our products to be high in demand in every available format," stated Estuardo Castro, general manager of Coprisa.

COPRISA AGROEXPORT will attend Fruit Logistica in February 2014, as part of the Netherlands' CBI stand, Hall 3.2 /Stand C-20, where it expects to make contact several with potential clients for its products.
