Germans prefer seasonal fruit and vegetables

Berlin - German consumers prefer to buy seasonal fruit and vegetables. Only 7% are not prepared in some months to consume fresh produce, so reports a survey by research company YouGov. For 87% of those interviewed was this not a problem.

The elderly are particularly seasonal conscious as 92% of over 55's do not want to eat strawberries in the cold part of the year. Additionally, only 90% know about the origins of their produce.
