US (CA): Only small amounts of freeze damage found in oranges

Deciduous tree fruits, nuts and grapes: Sprays are being applied in early tree fruit varieties. Pruning continues for grapes and stone fruit. Nuts continue to be exported; pecans to Korea, walnuts to Hong Kong and pistachios to the European Union. A few early varieties of peaches are blooming.

Citrus, avocados and olives: Navel oranges are being exported to Japan, China, Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, New Zealand and Australia. Lemons continue to be shipped to Japan, China and New Zealand. Specialty citrus consisting of blood oranges, Melogold and Fruit Cocktail grapefruit, pommelos and tangelos are being exported to Japan, China, Netherlands and New Zealand. A small percentage of freeze damage is being found in navels and other citrus varieties. Spray applications continue to be made in citrus groves. Pruning in olive orchards is still ongoing.

Vegetables, melons and berries: Winter vegetables are being grown by certified growers for local farmers markets.
