Photo report south Indian market

Freddy Dutoit, Director VLAM in France, was travelling in South India and there he took some photographs of a market in the town of Ooty. Freddy, "The traders stand in literally half a square meter between their products. There you can find just about anything: tomatoes (tomatoes on the vine not seen), peppers, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, lettuce and lots of fruit. See also the peeled garlic!" According Dutoit there are absolutely no brands. "Neither of BRC, GlobalGAP or other standards. There are no prices indicated but it is compared to our standards very cheap. The market is open every day until late evening. There is plenty to find: fruit and vegetables, meat, chicken, fish, flowers to clothes and tailors. There is a mix of merchants (that sit between the fruit and vegetables) and the producers (who usually offer one or two products on the floor)."
