Shakti Amla
Coco-products have a lot of benefits during cultivation. Up till now there was the disadvantage of pH compared to peat products. Naturally Coco-products have a pH above 6. During the traditional buffering process this pH will go up and can reach a level of 6.5 to 6.8. Most crops require a lower pH. Therefore a lot of mixtures are made with a percentage of peatmoss mixed through the Coco products. The disadvantage of mixing is a.o. the decrease of aircontent. Shakti Amla is produced in a different way which results in Coco-products with a suitable low pH that can be controlled with lime similar to peat products.
Characteristics and Benefits
Shakti Amla has the same characteristics as the well known traditional Coco-products. Besides this there are some more characteristics, such as a suitable low pH from 4.5; a stable pH comparable to peat products; an exchanged CEC-complex with the same benefits as traditional buffered Coco-products and a basic amount of NPK-fertilizer in the material comparable to PG-mix in traditional mixtures
What are the benefits for you as a grower?
Mixing with peat products for pH-purpose is no longer necessary which means that
concessions to the benefits of Coco-products are no longer necessary. The low pH makes Shatki Amla suitable for almost all crops. Also the crops that could not grow on Coco-products up till now because of special pH-requirements because of the suitable pH in combination with the physical benefits of Coco-products, the start of cultivation on Shakti Amla will be faster compared to other substrates and the availability of trace-elements will be better. The available NPK-fertilizer will also give a comfortable start to growing.

Shakti Amla is produced in a new revolutionary way. In the traditional way of buffering fertilizers are added, washed out again, and added again as NPK when mixtures are produced. The way in which Shakti Aml is produced means less waterconsumption during production; less washed out fertilizers during production and less fertilizers to be added at the beginning of cultivation.
